When the DVD you want to copy is already a copy (not the original), then you
don't need DVDFab. You can just use Nero. |
|
|
Here is the steps: |
|
1. |
Insert the DVD you want to copy into your DVD writer. |
|
2. |
Close any program that wants to play the movie. |
|
3. |
Start Nero. |
|
4. |
Click on the "Copy DVD" option. |
|
5. |
See
that the "Source Drive" and "Destination Drive" are the same. |
|
6. |
Click on "Copy". |
|
7. |
Nero will now create an image on our hard drive. When it is done, it will
ask you for the blank DVD disc. |
|
8. |
Insert your blank DVD disc and wait for Nero to copy your DVD. |

Make sure you have downloaded the CSS version of DVDFab.
The
non-CSS version will not copy protected DVDs. |

When you copy a movie and DVDFab gives you some sort of error, make sure you
have the latest version. DVDFab gets updated frequently.
If
it still gives you an error, it is most likely the disc you are trying to
copy from — try another disc. |

Sometimes (and I really mean sometimes), it happens that DVDFab chose the
incorrect track.
You
will see your movie starts in the middle somewhere and the beginning of the
movie is in the middle somewhere (or something of the like).
All
you have to do, is choose another track that is the same time length as the
one that DVDFab has chosen.
You
must re-rip the movie.
When you click on "Main Movie", you will see all the tracks, (just below
"Title", "Play Time", "Chapter" and "Aspect Ratio") and DVDFab will
automatically choose one.
You
can also preview the track, with DVDFab, to see if it is in the correct
sequence.
Click on the track and click the "Play" button (bottom left) to see if
everything is in sequence. |

When you shrink your movie with DVDShrink, it is a good idea to shrink it a
little bit smaller than the default setting.
The
default setting will shrink it to 4.463 GB. When you are in the "Compression
Settings" tab (DVDShrink) you will see it is set to "Automatic".
Change it to "Custom Ratio" and drag the slide bar a little to the left. Set
it to 4.400 or close to it.
The
reason for this is, when your disc is fully written to the edge, it
sometimes gives trouble when you try to re-copy it. |
