HOW TO CONVERT YOUR DVD MOVIE
INTO AN AVI (DIVX) MOVIE
With DivX, we can create a small size, high quality movie.
DivX is the latest compression utility in the movie industry today. All the latest DVD players (for your TV) support DivX, as well as the latest mobile phones.
All computers can play DivX movies, you just need the DivX codec installed onto your computer.
DivX has done for the movie industry what mp3 has done for the music industry.

It gives you a high quality movie, but in smaller size. As more and more devices supports mp3, so are more and more devices beginning to support DivX. |
An optimal file size for a DivX movie is between 700MB and 1100MB. (Depending on the original DVD size of the movie). In order to create a DivX movie, you must first copy your DVD files to your hard drive.
To have a high quality DivX movie, I recommend that you copy only the "main movie" files, not the "full disc". Click here to let me show you how to copy only the main movie.
Okay, now you have your main movie files on your computer. We are going to use a free program, called DVDx, to convert your DVD files into one AVI file (your DivX movie).
