Almost all
DVD players (for your TV) support
SVCD and
VCD, even the older DVD players.
For the best quality
SVCD
or VCD, rip your DVD with DVDFab using the Main
Movie option. See
COPY DVD TO HARD
DRIVE
for
details.
Now you have a small size, high quality DVD. From that, we can create a
high quality
SVCD or
VCD. We are going to convert the VOB files to a MPG
file.
Download the
DVD2SVCD
program and
CCE
and
CCE (CRACK)
1. |
Firstly, open the folder CCE and run the .exe file to install Cinema
Craft Encoder.
2. |
Now open the folder CCE (CRACK) and run the .exe file. Make sure
that STAND-ALONE is check marked. Browse to the target directory
where you have installed CCE. The default directory is: C:\program
files\custom technology\cinema craft encoder SP.
3. |
Select the cctsp.exe file and click on OPEN. Click on
CRACK to crack the file. (This removes the “Cinema Craft Encoder”
advertisement in the movie).
4. |
Now, install and run DVD2SVCD. |
5. |
Click on the CONVERSION tab (Marked as
“1”). Click on the BROWSE TO FOLDER icon
(Marked as “2”) and browse to where you have
saved your DVD files with DVDFab. Open the
VTS_01_0.ifo file. If you can see the
MOVIE LENGTH (Marked as “3”) and some info
here (Marked as “4”), then your movie has been
loaded.
6. |
Now select all the tabs one by one and see that
the settings are the same as below:
Multiplexer tab
Subtitles tab
CD Image
Finalize tab
Misc. tab
DVD Rip tab
DGIndex tab
Audio tab
Frameserver tab
Encoder tab
Pulldown tab
7. |
Have a look at the following tabs: bbMPEG,
DVD2AVI, AUDIO, ENCODER,
PULLDOWN – where it says, “save in
folder”/”save project in” - See that every tab
is saving to the same folder, it just makes it
easier when you delete the unnecessary files
after the
SVCD/VCD is complete. This is also
where the final movie file will be saved.
8. |
Select the MISC tab. Have a look at the
OUTPUT FILE TYPE option box at the bottom
right corner of the window. Now, here you can
choose if you want a
SVCD
or VCD. SVCD (Mpeg-2)
is recommended because of a little bit better
quality.
9. |
Click on the BITRATE tab. Because we
want to put 4 movies on 1 DVD disc, use these
settings:
Bitrate tab
Click
in the box (Marked as “5”) and type in 1100.
The important line here is the first one (marked
as "6").
You can play around here. You can even put your
SVCD
or VCD movie on 1 or more CD’s (not
DVD’s). You can change the size of the outcome
file as you like. Remember: the bigger the
file, the better the quality. An 1100MB file
will produce a decent quality movie and we can
then put 4 movies onto 1 DVD disc.
10. |
Click on the CONVERSION tab again and
click on GO, and then click on START
CONVERSION. The conversion can take a few
hours, depending on the hardware of your PC.
11. |
When it is done, go to the folder where you have
saved all the files. There will be a MPG file
that you can just rename to the name of your
movie. You can delete all the other files.
